Japanese Cuisine Exhibition

As Japanese cuisine is submitted for inclusion on Unesco’s intangible world heritage list, the Guimet Museum is hosting the exhibition ‘Japanese Cuisine’ in its honour. Visitors will discover the art of cooking Japanese style, as well as many other elements of Japanese culture and Japanese chefs will introduce you to the flavors and scents of Japanese cuisine. The exhibition will also aim to show utensils that are used on a regular basis in Japanese cuisine.

N°5 Culture Chanel, exhibition at the Palais de Tokyo

From May 5th to June 5th, the Palais de Tokyo will be hosting the exhibition ‘No. 5. Culture Chanel’. The exhibit will decrypt the famous fragrance, underline the links that set it in the context of an era and will also show the avant-garde trends in association with it.

The Fragrance N°5 Chanel was created in 1921, by Ernest Beaux in tribute to Coco Chanel. In the last while, many celebrities have represented the fragrance such as Nicole Kidman, or Brad Pitt more recently.

The Palais de Tokyo is easily accessible from the Eiffel Segur hotel with metro line 6 and 9 (21 minutes).

Roland Garros Tennis Tournament

The Roland Garros Tournament, also referred to as The French Open is a major tennis tournament held over two weeks between late May and early June. Roland-Garros is one the four Grand Slam tournaments along with the US Open, Wimbledon and the Australian Open. This year, Rolland Garros will take place from May 21st to June 9th near Porte d’Auteuil.

Opening Hours:
Stadium doors open at 10am every day, the games start at 11am. The stadium closes 45 minutes after the end of the last game of the day.

Aquaboulevard is one of the most famous water parks in Europe. The park has 10 giant slides, big swimming pools with waves, jacuzzi, and many other water amusements for children. There also is a cinema and plenty of restaurants.

It is a very suitable place to be for families with young children as well as groups of friends and ideal for a refreshing day.

Fall Festival 2012 in Paris !

Arcades of Lido, Champs Elysees

 The famous arcades of the Lido

Taking the 6 subway line to Charles de Gaulle Etoile, you can admire the most famous avenues: the Champs Elysées.

Located at the numbers 76-78, these arcades were opened in 1926. Originally, it was beauty salons that have been converted into prestigious cabaret: The Lido that gave its name to these arches. Many fine shops there are now.
